The story of Patel Tea, in many ways, began with a dream. Indeed, it started with determination, and above all, a humble beginning in Hubli.

A Humble Beginning in Hubli

In 1959, Shri Vitthalbhai Patel came to Hubli and started working at a small tea shop. Through hard work, dedication, and a deep understanding of the tea business, he gradually gained valuable experience. Along the way, he also built strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike.

Then, in 1961, he took his first entrepreneurial step by starting his own retail tea outlet. Because of his commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, the business grew steadily. As a result, it soon established a strong presence in the local market.

A Family Legacy Across Generations

As the business flourished, naturally, the next generation joined the journey. His sons, in turn, expanded the family business and established J. Vitthalbhai Patel & Co. — a wholesale tea business that began supplying quality tea across Karnataka.

With each generation, the family continued to carry forward the same core values — namely, hard work, trust, quality, and entrepreneurship. Eventually, the third generation, that is, the grandsons of Shri Vitthalbhai Patel, entered the business with a fresh, new vision.

Aap Ki Chai: A Legacy That Grows On

Together, they created their own consumer brand — “Aap Ki Chai.” In doing so, they successfully took the family’s legacy from a traditional tea business to a modern, recognisable brand. What began with one man’s journey in Hubli has, since then, grown far beyond Karnataka. Today, in fact, Aap Ki Chai proudly serves customers across multiple states in India.

From a small tea shop in 1959 to a growing tea brand today, the Patel Tea history is, ultimately, a story of three generations, perseverance, and a passion for bringing quality tea to every cup.
